Christina LaCroix; MAcOM, LAc.
Christina is a Colorado native and was raised on a 4000 acre ranch in Gunnison, CO by her grandparents who taught her the value of hard work and respect for the land and the life on it. Working closely every day with cattle and horses during her formative years gave Christina a strong work ethic and a caring heart.
Christina LaCroix earned her BA in Kinesiology and a EMT certificate from Western State College in 2001. While she was attending Western State College Christina worked as a ski coach to a youth ski team during winter and a guide for horse-packing, backpacking, rock climbing and mountain biking trips during summers.
After completing her bachelors she produced a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in January of 2007. This 4 year program consists of 2,231 required educational (didactic) hours and 962 hours of clinic. She was certified as a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 2007, including certification in Clean Needle Technique and Chinese Herbology.
During Christina’s 4 year graduate program, she worked for the highly esteemed Dr. Heiner Fruehauf in Oregon and traveled to China to study with master teachers Dr Liu Lihong and Master Wang Qingyu. She also trained in allergy elimination techniques.
When Christina takes time off it is to travel to a new part of the world. She enjoys exploring and experiencing new cultures and places. She brings this curiosity and love of learning to your treatment.
